Federated data and intelligence Orchestration & sharing for the Digital Energy transition
ODEON demonstrated and integrates innovative solutions to create an inclusive ecosystem of stakeholders characterized by the integration of a mesh of Data, Intelligence, Service and Market flows in the energy system. ODEON introduces a sound, reliable, scalable and openly accessible federated technological framework for the delivery of a wealth of services addressing the complete life-cycle of Data/AIOps and their smart spawn in federated environments and infrastructures across the continuum. ODEON enables the resilient operation of the energy system considering the increased RES integration and the effective orchestration of the flexibility from assets residing at the edges of the system. ODEON results will be extensively validated in 5 large-scale demonstration sites in Greece, Spain, France, Denmark and Ireland involving all required value chain actors, diverse assets, heterogeneous grid and market contexts, and multi-variate climatic and socio-economic characteristics to support its successful replication and market uptake.
ODEON is funded by the European Union under the LCE Policy Support Programme (HORIZON-CL5-2023-D3-01-15). Horizon Europe Grant Agreement Nº 101136128.
2022-2025
Environmental crimes’ intelligence and investigation protocol based on multiple data sources
The aim of the EMERITUS project is to realize and implement a protocol for effective environmental crime investigation, leveraging on the integration of innovative monitoring and analysis technologies and on a complementary training programme aimed at fostering environmental enforcement authorities’ intelligence and investigation capabilities. The project will focus on the co-creation of a geo-intelligence platform to integrate several monitoring and investigation technologies and data sources in a single view to support Police Authorities and decisionmakers.
This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101073874.
2023-2024
Automated Planning and Management for Smart Energy Communities (2.0)
Research, definition and development of a comprehensive Smart Planning and Operation System for energy communities based on digital energy tokens and the evolution of Artificial Intelligence based optimisation modules. The CENIT2.0 digital platform is designed as a Software as a Service (SaaS) accessible from anywhere and at any time. The architecture of the system is based on a division into layers, each of them with a well-defined role within the digital transformation of energy communities: (i) graphic interface and user experience layer, where the user interacts with the system; (ii) service provision layer to end users according to the different usage scenarios proposed; (iii) Data and API architecture layer; (iv) Smart layer that brings together the functional logic of the system divided into different modules: Smart planning module based on Artificial Intelligence for the detection and estimation of roof surfaces, module for hierarchical and distributed operation of the energy community in order to maximise energy efficiency and, finally, an energy exchange module based on the complete digitalisation of energy as an asset (tokenisation) to guarantee traceability, security and reliability of all energy exchanges within the system through Smart Contracts, encouraging the development of new applications around energy that represent added value.
2022-2023
